cover beef cut in pieces with water and add chopped onion salt & pepper. simmer until beef is brown and getting tender, about 15-20 minutes. add carrots, potatoes chopped, and fresh green beans. simmer about 10 minutes. add canned tomatoes and remaining ingredients. simmer about 15 minutes. One serving is 2 cups.
