Fried Cabbage and Ham

3 tbsp sunflower oil1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced1 medium yellow or white onion, diced1 medium jalapeno pepper, chopped (I like the heat so I leave the seeds in the pepper)1 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. black pepper6 oz. 95% fat free Ham Steak, in 1/2 inch dice
Add sunflower oil to a heavy skillet and heat to medium/medium high.
Add cabbage, diced onion, chopped jalapeno, garlic power and black pepper.
Cook, stirring occasionnally, until the cabbage is tender and onion is turning transparent. Add the diced ham. Stir and cook to heat the ham.
Remove from heat and serve.
Makes 4 servings.
