Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce (vegan)

Ingredients
28 oz can diced tomatoes in juice1/2-6 oz can tomato paste1 t. garlic powder1 T oregano1/2 t. salt1/2 c. raw cashews1 c. water, divided
Directions
Put 1/2 c. water and cashews in a blender and blend until VERY smooth. Set aside.

Heat remaining ingredients, when at a boil, stir in cashew mixture. Heat and stir until sauce thickens somewhat.

Makes 8-1/2 cup servings.
