Escrole Soup with Chicken

one head of curly endiveone chopped onionone small can of stewed tomatoestwo cloves garlichalf a cup of garbanzo beans6 oz of chicken breast
cut up onion and saute in a little olive oil
add cup up curly endive and cover to steam. I usually wash the endive, and leave it wet.
add the tomatoes, garlic, cut up chicken, and add a qt of water
I didn't use stock, but you can use either veggie stock or chicken.
cook for about 20 to 30 min. serve with a good shaved Italian cheese.
