Sweet Cream Pound Cake

1/2 lb. butter, softened3 cups sugar6 eggs3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1/2 pt. whipping cream1 t. vanilla1 t. lemon juice
In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. To this , add one egg at a time and beat two minutes after each egg. With mixer on low, add 1/2 of the flour. Slowly add whipping cream, lemon juice and vanilla. Add remainder of the flour and mix well. Pour into a buttered tube pan and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes (or until tester comes out clean) at 325°.
