Meat-free Carbonara Sauce

Ingredients
1 whole egg1 egg white1/4 cup 1% milk1 1/2 Tbsp dried thyme leaves or freshblack and red pepper flakes to taste1 oz romano reggiano (or parmesan) grated and split into two parts
Directions
whisk all ingredients together, reserving half of cheese. In hot pan, put drained pasta of your choice and 1/2 cup of pasta water. When all is hot and mostly steamed off, pour in egg mixture and remove from heat, stir well. Put into serving dishes and top with reserved cheese.
