Chicken Flavored Lentils and Rice

Ingredients
3/4 cup lentils3/4 cup brown rice4 cups reduced sodium chicken broth1 bay leaf1 tsp onion powder1 tsp garlic powdersalt and pepper to taste
Directions
bring broth and spices to a boil then add rice and lentils. Reduce to a low simmer, cover for 45-60 minutes stirring every 15. When done most liquid should have been absorbed and lentils/rice should be tender.

This is just a base--you can add frozen veggies, chicken, whatever you like : )
