Seaweed Smoothie

  • Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
1/2 cup dried seaweed (soften in water overnight)1 cup orange juicea pinch of fresh gingerice cubes if desired
Directions
Soften the seaweed overnight in a bit of water or juice. Put OJ and seaweed in blender and process on high. It will take a long time to chop up the seaweed. A hand-held blender won't do it! Add ginger to taste. Add 2 ice cubes if you want it slushy.

Made the smoothie with 3 fresh kiwi fruits instead of OJ as suggested and also a little bit of honey. The seaweed was easy to use and did not need to be soaked over night, just for an hour or so. Yummy! - 9/15/10

How about kiwi fruit and some ice cubes instead? The kiwi would add sweetness and the ice would make it slushy. I think I'll try that myself!
