Ingredients
Tofu, extra firm- 1 blockTabasco or Red Hot sauce
Directions
Drain all water out of tofu by placing block between two layers of paper towels and two cookie sheets with something heavy on top (pressing the water out slowly). Change paper towels frequently as they become soaked.
Once tofu no longer soaks through towels quickly (about 30 minutes), slice block into 5 long slices or 20 cubes.
Marinate tofu pieces in a large container (single layer) with 1 Tbsp. tabasco or Frank's Red Hot per serving (note: Frank's has much higher sodium content! Be careful!). Place in fridge for 60 mins or so, turning once halfway through marinating.
Lightly spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray and place tofu slices (or cubes) in oven at 350 for about 35 minutes, turning once, until the tofu forms a slightly crunchy "skin."

Serve over a bed of veggies or on its own as a yummy snack!!

MM MM GOOD!

This sounded good, and if you really like hot sauce you might like it. I put it in tacos and it was ok, but i definitely couldn't down it plain, and i love tofu! I liked the crunch, but the flavor was horrible. - 8/13/07

THIS is the best stuff ever. I have always been a little skeptical of tofu, but you can't ever go wrong with hot sauce! You put these together and it's AMAZING! DesireƩ is a genius. This is my new favorite snack. It doesn't take long.. is super easy... and Really tasty alone AND on salad! mmmm - 8/6/07
