Tamara's Yogurt Waffles

1/2 cup All Purpose Flour1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour3/4 cup rolled oats (not quick cooking)3/4 tsp Kosher Salt2 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda2 tbls melted butter3 egg yolks3 egg whites whipped1 1/2 cups plain non-fat yogurt (I use greek)
In a bowl combine together flours, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
In another bowl whip eggs whites to stiff peaks.
Another bowl combine brown sugar, butter, egg yolks, and yogurt until smooth.
Stir the egg mixture together with the flour mixture.
Fold in the egg yolks
Let batter sit for 15 minutes or longer -will help soften the oats.
Heat waffle iron to manufacturers directions pour 1/2 cup of batter onto iron and close. Cook until waffles are golden brown and crisp about 5 minuters (this will depend on your waffle iron). Make about 6 waffles depending on the size of your waffle iron.
