Dessert - Peanut Butter Pie

Baked pie crust3 tbs cornstarch4 eggs, separated3 tbs peanut butter1/3 cup peanut butter1/3 cup sugar2/3 cup sugar1/4 tsp salt3 cups milk2/3 cup powdered sugar1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Cook together 2/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, salt, 4 egg yolks, and milk until thickened. Add 3 tablespoons peanut butter.
Combine 1/3 cup peanut butter and powdered sugar to make crumbly mixture. Put crumbly mixture in bottom of pie shell, then pour filling over this.
To make meringue, beat until stiff, 4 egg whites, cream of tartar, 1/3 cup sugar. Spread over filling and brown in oven.
May reserve some of the crumbly mixture for top of pie.
