Betty Crocker Scones (with light cream)

Ingredients
1 3/4 cup flour3 tablespoons sugar2 1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1/3 cup firm butter1/2 tsp vanilla6 tbsp light cream (5%)Sugar for decorating (coarse crystals)
Directions
Heat over to 400 degrees.

In large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter using pastry blender or two knives, until mixture is crumbs. Stir in slightly beaten egg, vanilla and cream.

Place dough on lightly floured surface and gently roll in flour to coat. Knead lightly ten times. press dough into 8 inch circle and cut with pizza cutter into wedges. Brush with cream and dust with sugar.

Bake 14-16 minutes and remove immediately from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
