Mexican Black Bean Pie

30 ounces canned or fresh black beans5 whole wheat medium tortillas8 oz can tomato sauce1 small can of green chilesfat free shredded cheddar cheesecuminchili powder
In a skillet toast each tortilla one at a time.
Mix canned green chiles with tomato sauce and add cumin and chili powder to taste. Take 1/3 cup and spread over the bottom of the pie pan. Then lay down one tortilla. Then lay another 1/4 cup tomato mixture down. Then spread a half cup of black bean puree and sprinkle a table spoon of cheese and lay down the next tortilla and repeat. When you get to the top tortilla cover it with remaining cheese and tomato sauce. Bake for 30 minutes and 400 degrees. then take foil of and bake for 5 more minutes. Cut into 6 pie pieces and serve. Tastes great with fat free yogurt or sour cream as well.
