Ingredients
2/3 cup sugar2 eggs1/3 cup applesauce1 cup mashed bananas3 tbsp buttermilk1 cup wheat flour1 cup white flour1 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1/2 cup chopped walnuts (opt)
Directions
Stir together sugar, applesauce, eggs
Mix bananas and buttermilk.
Stir into sugar mixture.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt.
Stir into banana mixture.
Add nuts.
Bake 50-60 minutes @ 350 degrees

    I thought it still needed some spice so before I made this I added cinnamon to the recipe and it was ok. It still lacks something and I think I shall make it again but add more spices. It is worth tinkering with. - 9/11/07
