Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Swirl Cupcakes

Cream Cheese Mixture:1/2 c granulated sugar6 oz cream cheese, softened1 egg1 bag (6oz) semi-sweet chocolate chipsCake:2 1/4 c all-purpose flour1 2/3 c granulated sugar1/4 c unsweetened baking cocoa2 tsp baking soda1 tsp salt1 1/4 c water1/2 vegetable oil2 tbsp white vinegar2 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 24 regular size muffin cups with paper baking cups. In med bowl beat together 1/2 c sugar, cream cheese and egg. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients. Beat on low 30 seconds. Beat on high for 3 minutes. Reserve 1 1/2 c batter.
Fill each muffin cup with about 1 tablespoon of batter. Spoon 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture onto batter. Top with 1/2 tablespoon reserved batter.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
