1 egg3/4 cup milk2lbs. ground beef2/3 cup uncooked regular rice1 tsp chili powder1.5 tsps. salt2 8oz. cans of tomato sauce1 can water1 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. onion powder
Makes approximately 6 to 8 servings.
Combine 1 slightly beaten egg, milk, beef, rice, chili powder, and salt. Mix lightly and shape into balls the size of a castanet. Then, in a Dutch Oven or large pot, combine tomato sauce, water, 1 tsp chili powder and onion powder. Add meat balls and simmer, covered, 1.5 to 2 hours, adding more liquid if necessary. Stir occasionally.
