Fresh Green Beans with Garlic and Olive Oil

1 pound fresh green beans2 tsp. minced garlic or 2 cloves of fresh garlic1/3 tsp of extra virgin olive oilpepper2 tsp black pepper
Wash the beans in a colander.
Trim the end of the beans about 1/4 - 1/2 inch.
Boil beans in a medium-large pot of water and cook about 4 minutes. If you like yours mushy, cook a little longer.
Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat; Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Drain the beans.
Transfer beans to the frying pan and toss with the garlic & olive oil.
Season with pepper, optional.
Serve immediately.
