Nora's Cucumber Avocado Chilled Soup

2 cups vegetable broth (use sodium free broth to reduce the sodium content of this recipe, if this is a concern)2 medium avocados (without skin and seeds)2 medium cucumbers, peeled and chopped1/2 medium onion, chopped2 to 4 cloves garlic, choppedFresh thyme and sage to taste
Spray a small skillet with cooking spray and saute the onions until golden. Add the garlic and saute an additional 5 min, adding small amounts of water as needed to prevent sticking. Let onions and garlic cool to room temperature. Put onions and garlic with all remaining ingredients in blender and pulse until completely blended and smooth (try not to take blender up to highest setting, as this mixes in more air to the soup). Enjoy at room temperature or chilled. Keep leftovers refrigerated. Serving size is 8 oz. If your veggies are slightly bigger or smaller, you may get a different yield.
