Coconut Almond Flaxseed Oatmeal

1 C old-fashioned oats1 3/4 C almond milk (plain, unsweetened)1/8 t salt3 t brown sugar (loose) or honey1 T flax seed meal1 T coconut flakes1/4 C chopped almonds
Bring almond milk and salt to a gentle boil stirring to prevent scorching. Add oats and boil over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar, flax seed meal, coconut and almonds. Serve piping hot.
This makes 2 servings (but it makes enough to serve 1 adult and 2 kids).
