French Onion Soup

Ingredients
4 TBLS Butter4 to 5 Medium Onions, thinly sliced3 Cans Condensed Beef Broth2 Cans Water1 TBLS Plain Flour1/4 C Grated Parmesan CheesePepper to tasteOptional Topping - Toasted French Bread or Croutons topped with Swiss or Provolone Cheese (not included in nutrition information).
Directions
Saute onions in butter for 25 minutes or until browned. Sprinkle with flour and stir into mixture. Add broth and water; bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Place in individual oven-proof bowls. Top with bread or croutons, then cheese. Bake at 400F for 5 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and begins to brown. Makes about 8 servings.
