* Meyer Yogurt, Plain, 1 cup () * Lemon juice, 1 tbsp () * *Cumin seed, 1 tsp () * Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp () * cayenne pepper, 3 tsp () * Pepper, black, 2 tsp () * Ginger, ground, 1 tbsp () * Salt, 1 tsp () * Chicken Breast, 3 breasts, bone and skin removed * Olive Oil, Extra Virgin, 1 tbs () * *Garlic, 1 clove, minced * *Cumin seed, 1 tsp () * Paprika, 2 tsp () * *8 oz can of tomato sauce, 1 serving () * Heavy Whipping Cream, 1 cup, fluid * *ground tumeric, 2 tsp () * *Cilantro, dried, 1 tblsp ()
1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of cumin seed, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper, ginger, and salt. Stir in chicken pieces, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
2. Cook chicken (bake or fry or grill).
3. Put olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic for 1 minute. Season with the second teaspoon of cumin seed, tumeric, cilantro, and the paprika. Stir in tomato sauce and cream. Simmer on low heat until sauce thickens, about 20 minutes. Add chicken, and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Makes roughly 4 servings. Serve with rice or warm pita bread.
