Cranberry compote with ginger

1 lb fresh cranberries1 14 oz can pineapple chunks in juice1 cup white sugar1 cup orange juice1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
Combine all ingredients in saucepan and heat on medium. As the cranberries start to pop, mash them up some with a potato masher. Simmer for about ten minutes total. If you want a little thicker of a texture you can add a tablespoon of cornstarch.
