Gert's Trail Mix Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup margarine1 cup sugar2 eggs 1/2 cup milk1 2/3 cup oatmeal1 1/2 cup flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk with 1 tsp vinegar in it)1/2 tsp salt1 tsp cinnamon1 tbsp ground flax seed2 tbsp flax seed1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut1 cup chocolate chips1/2 cup trail mix with almonds, cashews, raisins, craisins, currants, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, peanutsAlmonds, (0.07 cup, whole)Cashew Nuts, dry roasted, (0.07 cup, halves and whole)Peanuts, dry-roasted, (0.03 cup)Sunflower Seeds, without salt, (0.02 cup, hulled)Raisins, (0.02 cup, packed)Black Currants, dried, (0.02 cup)Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins), (0.02 cup)Pumpkin Seeds, (0.02 cup)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375.
In a cup whisk together the buttermilk and baking soda until it foams up, set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream together the margarine, sugar, eggs and milk with wooden spoon. Mix in the buttermilk mixture. Add oatmeal and flour, mix until smooth. Add all the rest of the ingredients. Mix until well blended.
Scoop dough with a spoon onto cookie sheet(s). Bake for 8-12 minutes. Let cool on cooling rack.
Makes 36 (2inches) cookies.
