Butter, salted, 1 lb softenedGranulated Sugar, 2 cups (1 lb)Flour, white, 8 cupsBrown Sugar, 2.25 cup, packed (1 lb)Whiskey, 1 shot (optional)Egg, fresh, 6 largeSalt, 1 dashCinnamon, ground, 2-3 tablespoons
Soften butter. Beat eggs lightly. Cream together butter, eggs, sugars, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add in flour. Roll in wax paper (6-8 rolls). Refrigerate overnight. Preheat small burner and gaufrette iron 4-5 minutes. Do not grease the iron. Bake on small burner over medium heat, turning once. Approximately 15-20 seconds on each side (40 seconds total). Men bake better because they have a one-track mind.
