4 cups sliced apples or pears, peeled and sliced3/4 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup rolled oats1/2 cup all purpose flour1/3 cup butter2/3 cup rice milk (or regular milk)1 large egg1 tsp. vanilla extract1 tsp. ground cinnamon1 Tbsp. cocoa
Grease 8 inch pan with butter, preheat oven to 350F
1. Arrange fruit in a 8 inch pan.
2. Mix flour, oats, sugar and butter in bowl until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over fruit.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg and vanilla. Pour over crumb mixture. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and cocoa. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and the top is golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
