2 Tbs olive oil2 Tbs butter1 medium onion chopped2 cloves of garlic minced1 cup vodka29 oz can of tomato puree1 cup fat free half and half3/4 tsp salt1-2 pinches of red pepper flakes1 lb of penne pasta (calculated with Barilla Plus Penne)
1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
2. In a skillet, saute garlic and onion in olive oil and butter. Pour in tomatoes and cook for about 20 minutes. Stir in the vodka. Add cream and red pepper flakes, and salt to taste. Cook for another 10 minutes. Serve over the cooked penne.
