Oatmeal Patties
- Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
Directions
1 cup Old Fashion Rolled Oats 3 large eggs1/4 c or palm full of walnuts1 cup chopped onionsalt and pepper1/2 cup olive oil (only if frying)
Combine oatmeal, eggs, onions, walnuts, and seasonings in a medium mixing bowl until well mixed. If the mixture seems to wet, allow it to sit for a minute or two so the oatmeal can set. Once set shape the mixture into 4 large or 6 small patties.
Now if you would like, you can either fry or bake the patties. If frying, heat olive oil in pan and fry the patties 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. If baking, pre-heat the oven to 375 and place them on a grease cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 min or until golden brown.
Try this recipe by adding other ingredients (to the original list) for a different variety in flavors.
Enjoy!!

This was disgusting. The mixture didn’t set up well at all. The onions overpowered everything. It was a waste of walnuts. The rawness of the oats could be tasted. I had my husband sample it and he loves all egg dishes and oats and couldn’t finish it. I wasted an onion on this garbage recipe. - 11/6/20
