Split Pea Soup, Made with Ham Bone

Ingredients
2 16-oz packages green split peas4 cloves garlic2 medium onions6 medium carrots8 cups chicken stock8 cups waterleft over ham bone, but not meat added
Directions
dice veges, add peas, water, chicken stock or broth, and ham bone. boil, then simmer 2 hours or until peas are soft. Remove ham bone, do not add meat to soup. Puree soup with immersion blender.
