Easy Lasagna

* Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 16 oz * Ricotta Cheese, fat free, 8 oz * Garlic powder, 2 tsp * Onion powder, 2 tbsp * Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp * Parsley, dried, 1 tsp * Pepper, black, 2 tsp * Sage, ground, 1 tsp * Thyme, ground, 0.50 tsp * Basil, 1 tbsp * Spaghetti/Marinara Sauce (tomato sauce), 5 cup * Ground beef, 32 oz * Water, tap, 0.50 cup (8 fl oz) * Kroger Brand Lasagna Noodles, 134 gram (roughly 8 pieces)
1. Brown the meat (I use the sauce pan to cut down on dishes). Drain away the excess grease. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
2. Stir in the water and the spices (garlic powder, sage, oregano, thyme, parsley, onion powder, basil, and black pepper). Let meat and spices simmer for 10-15 minutes.
3. Stir in marinara sauce, heat sauce and meat mixture for 2-5 minutes before removing from heat.
4. Begin layering first the meat sauce, then the dry lasagna noodles (don't worry, they'll cook), then a layer of ricotta, and finally a layer of cheese until you fill your cooking pan. I typically use a 9x13 which will make 12 two inch by two inch pieces, give or take a row.
5. Slide the lasagna into the oven for 30 minutes. Then pull it out, add another layer of cheese, and slide it back in for another 10-15 minutes.
