Gnocchi with Red Pepper Sauce

Ingredients
3 medium red peppers, seeded, cored, and diced1 tbsp. olive oil2 large onions, chopped4 cloves garlic, chopped1 1/2 tsp. dried basil1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper1/2 tso salt1 cup canned tomatoes1 tbsp balsamic vinegar500 gr. fresh gnocchi
Directions
In a large skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions, peppers, garlic, and basil, and cook, stirring often, for about 10 minutes or until onions are softened. Add tomatoes and vinegar. Bring to a boil and cook until liquid is reduced.

Meanwhile, in a large pot, cook gnocchi as per package directions, until they float in the water surface. Drain water and mix in sauce.
