Christmas snowball cookies

Ingredients
1c butter3/4 c powdered sugar1t vanilla2c flour1 cup chopped pecans (optional, not included in calc.)red and green sprinkles
in a large bowl
1. Cream Butter
2. add sugar and then vanilla
3. add flour and mix well
4. add pecans at this step
5. form into a ball in the bowl
6. cover and refrigerate for an hour
7. roll small bits dough into 1/2- 1" balls
8. bake for 20- 30 minutes till light brown
9. cool for about two minutes
9. roll in sprinkles in a bowl
10. let cool before serving
makes about 48 cookies
