Directions
Steel Cut Oats, Whey Protein Powder, Flax Seed, Cinnamon/Nutmeg, Fruit or Nut Topping
Cook the steel cut oats with double the amount of water on high heat. Keep the pot covered throughout the process. Once bubbles start billowing up, turn the heat down to a simmer and cook the oats until they are soft (Approx 15 minutes). Add more water if necessary.
Add one scoop of whey protein powder per 1/4 cups of oats along with the flax seeds and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly, then put in a container for storage. This hearty breakfast should be kept refrigerated or frozen and when your ready to eat it, just slice a piece off and heat it up.
