Sarah's Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients
4 medium green tomatoes, sliced (1/4 in)2 eggs1/2 c milk3/4 c flour3/4 c cornmeal1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1 tsp garlic powder3 Tbsp canola oil
Directions
In a large skillet, heat oil. Slice tomatoes and set aside. In a shallow dish beat together eggs and milk. In a second dish mix together flour, cornmeal, and seasonings. Dredge tomatoes first in egg wash; then in seasoning blend. Pan fry for about 4 minutes a side or until browned evenly. Transfer to a towel lined plate.
