Ingredients
4 CUPS WATER12 OZ FROZEN HASH BROWNS (OR DICE REGULAR ONES IF YOU HAVE TIME)1 CUP CHOPPED CARROTS4 CUPS CHOPPED BROCCOLI2 PKGS CHICKEN BROTH MIX1 TSP SALT1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER3 TBL FLOUR2 CUPS MILK6 OZ VELVEETA CUBED
Directions
IN A LARGE POT, COMBINE WATER, POTATOS, VEGETABLES, BROTH, SALT, AND PEPPER. BRING TO A BOIL AND SIMMER UNTIL THE VEGETALES ARE TENDER (15-20 MIN.). IN A SEPARATE BOWL, BLEND FLOUR AND MILK. SLOWLY ADD FLOUR/MILK MIX TO THE LARGE POT. STIR CONSTANTLY UNTIL SOUP THICKENS. ADD CHEESE CUBES AND STIR UNTIL MELTED AND SMOOTH.

MAKES 4 HUGE SERVING. EACH SERVING IS APPROX 3 OR 3 1/2 CUPS

    Your kids will eat their veggies.
    This recipe makes 12 cups of soup. Made with real chicken broth instead of water & bouillon 1 cup equals: 136 calories, 5.1g total fat, 15.3mg cholesterol, 772mg sodium, 13.8g carbohydrate, 9.7g protein.

    This is not healthy. I don't know if there is something wrong with the calorie count, but 818 calories and 25 grams of fat is horrible! That is more calories than a Big Mac or a double Quarter Pounder with Cheese!!! I can't believe this has been posted as a healthy recipe. - 10/10/07

    Isn't the calorie count a little high for one serving of soup? Doesn't sound too healthy. Even eating 1/2 a serving is still high - at 409 calories I'd rather have something more satisfying? Maybe the author meant to divide it out into more than 4 servings??? It does sound tasty though!:) - 10/8/07
