Mom's Vegan Spaghetti Sauce with Meat

1 large Onion4 cups Smart Ground - Vegan Beef substitute (2 cup=1lb. ground beef)2 (2lbs. 3 oz.) cans Italian peeled tomatoes3 cans (6oz.) Tomato Pasteseveral shakes of Red Pepper & Black Pepper1/4 c. Parma (by Eat in the Raw - Vegan Parmesan cheese)2 T. Agave nectar (or sugar)1 T. Oregano1T. Basil
Saute onion in a little water. Add ground beef crumbles. Stir in tomatoes(crush the whole tomatoes with your hands), paste, agave, oregano, basil, peppers. (and Salt if desired)
Simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, 45 min. or until sauce thickens. Stir in vegan cheese; cool.
Should make 12 cups, or 24 1/2 cup servings. Can be frozen.
