1 package of shredded cabbage1 package of shredded carrots5 tbsp Girard's Champagne Salad Dressing1/3 cup of silvered Almonds2 tsp Sugar or Splenda1tbsp unsalted butter
Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add almonds and cook until brown. Take sauce pan off heat and add sugar. Stir to coat almonds and transfer to wax paper to cool. Mix cabbage and carrots together in a bowl. Add almonds and mix well. Add dressing one tablespoon at a time. The dressing should light and not overly heavy. Too much dressing will turn the slaw into mush.
