Ingredients
1 and ½ cups Katache Pani1 piece Cinnamon2 bay leaves8-10 curry leaves1 tsp Mustard seeds1 tsp Cumin SeedsA pinch of asafoetida2 tsp Red Chilli Powder2 tsp Garam Masala2 tsp goda masala½ tsp Tamarind concentrate4 tsp Jaggery2 tsp Cumin Seeds, roasted1/4 cup Dry coconut, grated and roastedSalt to taste1 tsp Coriander, chopped2 tsp OilWater
Directions
1) Grind roasted cumin seeds and coconut together into a thin paste.
2) In a cooking vessel, add katache pani, tamarind, jaggery, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt to it and goda masala.Bring this to boil and then add coconut paste and cook it for 5 minutes.
3. Add water to get the desired consistency.
4.In a pan, heat oil and add asafoetida ,cinnamon, bay leaves and curry leaves to it. Then add mustard seeds and cumin seeds .Add this to the aamti.
5.Garnish with chopped cilantro ..
