Green Penne

(25)
  • Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
4.5 cups cooked whole wheat penne, or any other kind of pasta (bow-tie would probably work the best but I've not tried it yet)1 can of peas1/2 can of black beans (approx. 1/2 cup)1 teaspoon of olive oil
Directions
Mash up the peas (it's fun!) with a spoon until they form a yucky green paste.
Add the olive oil and beans, and stir it all up.
Add the pasta, mix it in, and you're done!

This is a great recipe! I added garlic and pepper for extra seasoning, and served with fresh parmesan cheese and a few slices of turkeyroni to additional layers of flavor! - 9/24/09

I would use frozen peas and dried beans instead because cane peas and beans are loaded with salt. But it sound nutritious I would give it four stars. - 8/31/09

I used edamame instead of peas, because that's what I had on hand. Added a couple of spices and some garlic. Yum! - 2/15/10
