Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

1 cup Milk, nonfat 1.50 cup, shredded Cheddar or Colby Cheese, Low Fat 2 T Flour, white 16 oz Elbow Macaroni, uncooked 4 slices White or Wheat Bread3 tbsp Butter, unsalted
Cook and drain macaroni. Melt 2 T butter in a saucepan, remove from heat. Add flour and mix to make a paste (if it is too thick, add more butter). Gradually mix in milk until fully combined and put back on heat. Stir and heat until it thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 cup of cheese, stir until melted. Mix with macaroni and spread into greased baking dish. Spread the rest of the cheese on top. Cut the bread into cubes, saute in 1-2 T butter until browned and crispy. Spread over the top of the cheese-topped macaroni. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
