Red Beans - Barb's way

Ingredients
2 - 15 oz cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed1 - 4 oz can diced green chiles, drained1/2 cup chopped onion1/2 cup water (can substitute beer)1/4 cup ketchup (can substitute cocktail sauce)1/4 cup molasses1 Tbl cider vinegar2 tsp Bragg's liquid amino acids (can substitute soy sauce)2 4oz canned mushroom pieces
Directions
I usually bake in oven, but when camping have cooked in a covered pot about 40 - 45 min.
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix chiles and all liquid ingredients in small bowl.
3. Place beans, onions and liquid mixture in ungreased 2 quart casserole dish and mix together.
3. Bake uncovered aprox. 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 5, 1-cup servings. Freezes well.
