Ingredients
Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 4 cup Hunts Spaghetti Sauce, any flavor, 1.75 cup a #14 can of PORK AND BEANS frozen vegetable soup mix, 0.66 cup, or an equivalent amount of chopped vegetables of your choice * Mushrooms, fresh, .5 cup, pieces or slices Italian herb mix to taste * *Whole Wheat Penne (dry), 2 oz fresh or dried Italian herbs to taste if desired
Directions
Put all ingredients except pasta into a pot or crock pot and heat. Simmer until vegetables are done. Meanwhile, cook pasta to desired doneness in separate container of boiling water. Drain and reserve. When serving, divide cooked pasta among the serving bowls, top with hot soup. You may also add raw spinach or other tender greens to soup bowls if desired. This has a good Italian flavor without additional herbs, but you may add more if you want a more intense flavor. About 124 calories per serving.
