Pasta alla Carbonara

Ingredients
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese, divided1/2 cup 2% milk1/4 cup egg substitute1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp black pepper1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper8 oz. unclooked linguine6 bacon slices1 cup chopped onion3 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
Combine 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese and next 5 ingredients in a bowl; stir well, and set aside.

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.

While pasta cooks, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium- high heat until crisp. Remove bacon from pan, reserving 2 tsp. drippings in pan. Crumble bacon, and set aside. Add ionion and garlic to drippings in pan and saute 5 min. or until tender.

Drain pasta; return to pan. Add milk and ess mixture, bacon, and onion mixture to hot pasta; toss gently to coat. Place over low heat and cook 1 min. Spoon past into individual bowls, and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
