Apricot Almond Scones

2-1/2 c. self-rising flour1/4 c. butter1/3 c. buttermilk1/3 c. heavy cream1/3 c. sugar1/3 c. dried chopped apricots1/3 c. slivered almonds
1. Cut flour into softened butter with pastry cutter
2. Add all dry ingredients and mix well
3. form a well in center of dry ingredients and add all liquid then form into ball of dough. Additional cream and buttermilk may be needed to form ball.
4. Shape into 9" circle
5. Cut into 8 triangular scones
6. Sprinkle with extra fine sugar
7. Bake in preheated 400F oven for 16 minutes or until lightly toasted on top.
