3 1/4 c. whole wheat flour1/3 c. regular oats2 T. wheat germ1 1/2 t. baking soda1 1/2 t. salt1/2 c. butter1/2 c. applesauce, unsweetened1 c. sugar1 c. brown sugar1 t. vanilla1/2 t. water2 eggs12 oz. Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Bittersweet Chips
In small bowl, combine flour, oats, wheat germ, baking soda and salt. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mix; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Serving Size: 1 1/8 oz. of dough = 1 cookie. Makes about 4 dozen.
