Calzone Redone

12 oz turkey sausage1/2 cup chopped onions8 oz tomato sauce2 pk pizza crust (6 servings per package)1 package of 2% cheese (7 servings per package)garlic powder (optional)Olive Oil (optional)Parmasean Cheese (Optional)
In med skillet, brown sausage & crumble. Add onion & garlic. Cook 5 min. Drain grease. Stir in tomato sauce &
remove from heat. Unroll 1 pkg of dough across baking sheet. Put ˝ of cheese over the dough, in 2 rows, leaving a 2" open space thru center of the pie. Cover each mound of
cheese w/ meat mixture & remaining mozzarella. Unroll
remaining dough, stretch to cover over 1st. Press & seal outside edges. Press down center “open space” & cut thru it, creating 2 calzones. Press each seam to seal. Brush w/ olive oil & sprinkle w/ Parmesan as desired. Cut 2 slits on top of ea calzone. Bake 22-25 min at 350⁰, until golden brown.
