3 slices lean bacon1/2 c. breadcrumbs3 artichokes, trimmed1/4 c parmesan cheese1 teasp. garlic powder1/2 teasp. lemon pepper
Mix together cheese, seasonings, and breadcrumbs. Cut bacon into small lardons. Mix together with breadcrumb mixture until well coated. Stuff each outer leaf of artichoke with bacon breadcrumb mixture. Open up tight inner leaves with fingers. Stuff center with breadcrumb mixture. Steam in a steamer basket for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until leaves pull out easily. Make sure that steamer does not evaporate.
