Savory Applesauce Meatballs

1/2 Cup uncooked Old-fashioned Oatmeal (Country Choice organic)1/2 Cup Applesauce, unsweetened gravenstein1 large egg4 TBsp. Ketchup - Trader Joe's Organic1-2 TBsp. minced onion, dehydrated1 tsp. poultry seasoning1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 tsp. nutmeg1/2 tsp. black pepper1/2 tsp. Nature's Seasons Blend (by Morton)16 oz. ground beef (95% lean)
In a large bowl combine first 10 ingredients. Mix well and let sit for a few minutes for the onion and oatmeal to soften. Add the ground beef and mix thoroughly.
Form into small meatballs (about 18) and place on foil-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. (I check them at 15 minutes to make sure they don't get overdone).
Serve with extra ketchup (not included in nutritional info) if desired. They are delicious served with baked squash or sweet potatoes and additional applesauce.
