Chocolate Italian Ice

2 1/2 c. water1/2 c. sugar24 t. Splenda (1/2 c.)1/2 c. cocoa1/2 t. vanilla
Bring the water and sugar to a low boil; boil 5 minutes. Add the cocoa and vanilla. Let cool in the refrigerator until only slightly hot. Add the Splenda.
Freeze in ice cream maker, ice cube trays or baking pan (you may want to process in a blender before serving if you use the latter).
The original recipe called for 1/4 t. cinnamon. I used vanilla instead.
This makes 2 large servings.
