Savory Apple Kasha Stuffing

Ingredients
1 c kasha (buckwheat)1 egg or egg white1/4 c butter or margarine1 c onion, chopped1 c celery, chopped1 c carrots grated2 c chopped apples1 tsp sage2 c hot chicken brothsalt and pepper to tasteCombine Kasha and egg or (egg white).Heat heavy skillet with lid; sear kasha until egg is cooked (2-3) minutes. Remove from pan..Add butter to same panSaute onion, celery, carrots, apples; season with sage.Return kasha to pan, carefully adding broth.Reduce heat and simmer, covered until liquies is absorbed.Adjust seasonings. Cool thoroughly before stuffing poultry.Or bake separately in covered casserole at 350' for 45 minutes.Heat
