Ingredients
2 c white sugar1/2 c milk1/2 c shortening1 tsp vanilla3 c rolled oats (not instant)1 c sweetened shredded coconutpinch salt1/3 cup cocoa powder
Directions
Boil the first 3 ingredients.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and bring to a boil again.
Remove from heat and add the oatmeal, coconut, salt and cocoa powder.
Mix quickly and thoroughly.
Drop heaps onto wax-paper lined sheets, chill completely.
